The common theme among these is that they are fast and easy. Plus you'll find they are healthy too, several of the favs are made with organic foods and we even have a vegetarian recipe.

#1. Hands down our reader's favorite recipe is Easy Baked Apples probably because they makes a quick, easy and healthy dessert. Apples are naturally low in carbohydrates, calories and salt, plus they are high in fiber!

#2. The next most popular is Yogurt Cheese. If you've never heard of it before, it's a
healthy, low fat substitute for sour cream and cream cheese to use in recipes such as dips and spreads.

#3. It seems a lot of people are also looking for Recipes For Cooking Roast Beef and we give you two ways! I'm very pleased that she has decided to breast feed her baby! "Should I Breast Feed My Baby?" is one of the most important decisions a mother makes. I nursed all four of my children, loved every minute of it and wouldn't have considered doing anything else. There are many benefits of breast feeding for both Mom and baby for their health and convenience.

So, what are the health benefits of breastfeeding your baby? There are more nutrients in breast milk and it's more easily digested than any other source. In addition, most breast fed babies have an easier time feeding than those who are fed with alternatives such as bottles. Another plus is that babies who are breastfed are less likely to become sick, according to doctors. My babies were never sick and even when they got older they had fewer colds and viruses than other kids who were bottle fed.

It is a suggested that babies who are breastfed not only develop as they should, but they do not gain as much weight as their counterparts. This reduces your child's chances of suffering from childhood obesity.

Studies have also shown that premature infants grow at a faster rate
when breastfed. Furthermore, certain research indicates that babies
who receive mother's milk are more likely to score higher on tests to
determine their IQ level.

The benefits of breastfeeding to mom are just as important too. Most
moms who breastfeed tend to lose the additional weight gained during
pregnancy quicker than those who do not. Studies have shown that
breastfeeding decreases the risk of developing breast and ovarian
cancer as well. It has also been determined that women who breastfeed
are less likely to develop osteoporosis, which has become a concern for
those who are pre and post-menopausal.

Breastfeeding is a natural process, it's not only a healthy benefit to baby, but to mom as well. This is a time when mom and baby begin the bonding process, in an atmosphere that is calm and serene. As a mom I enjoyed the opportunity to have some quiet time and snuggle with my baby. I also enjoyed the convenience of having a ready supply of food, with no fuss, mess or preparation required to feed my hungry infant.

Moms who breastfeed babies are providing the best health benefits they can give their newborns in the first days and months of their lives. Since there has been so much research and studies conducted determining the health benefits derived from breastfeeding, the consensus is that breastfeeding babies outweighs bottle-feeding by a long shot.

The next thing on our to do list is find our more about nursing bras and I found this wonderful resource for nursing bras and breast feeding tips. This moist and delicious cake is perfect for birthdays or when ever you need to make a dessert for someone special.

1 1/2 cups canned cherry pie filling
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoon Watkins Ground Nutmeg
1 teaspoon Watkins Ground Cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon Watkins Ground Cloves
1/2 teaspoon Watkins Ground Allspice
Watkins cooking spray
Cream cheese icing, recipe below

Directions for cake: preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour or spray with cooking spray three 9 inch round cake pans. Place the cherry pie filling into the container of a food processor. Pulse until roughly chopped. In a large bowl, cream butter and white sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each one. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and allspice. Alternate stirring in the dry ingredients and cherry pie filling. Stir just until blended. Divide the batter evenly between the three pans. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Place the pans on a wire rack to cool. Once the cakes have cooled enough to handle, tap them out of the pans and allow them to cool completely on the wire racks.

Cream Cheese Icing
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
Beat with an
electric mixer until blended. Gradually mix in the sugar, stirring until smooth. Spread icing between the layers and onto the sides and top of the cake.

Baking Tip: line your cake pans with wax or parchment paper, this ensures your cake won't stick to the bottom of the pan.

Naturally this cake tastes best made with Watkins vanilla, spices and cooking spray; you find them all in the online catalog.
Organic Citrus Honey Carrots

Carrots are a popular vegetable with kids and adults alike. When was the last time you treated yourself a new CD by one of your favorite artists? Choose something soothing or calming or motivating music if your prefer.

Now, steal a few minutes for a relaxing bath! Fill your bath tub with hot water. Squirt in some nice-smelling bubble bath or add scented bath salts. Try a calming scent like Watkins Calming Bath Soak and enjoy the sweet lavender aroma.

J.R. I always have to make a big batch when everyone comes home for a visit. I like to chop my veggies small but it's worth the effort, you can make them bite size if you like. I usually make the low fat version.

1 bunch of broccoli
1 head of cauliflower
8 strips of bacon, fried and crumbled
1/3 cup of chopped purple onion
1 cup of seedless grapes, cut in half
1 cup of mayonnaise, regular or low fat
1 tablespoon Watkins Bacon and Onion Dip Seasoning
1/3 cup of sugar, or less
2 tablespoons of vinegar
1/3 cup pecans, broken

Directions: In a large salad bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar; mixing until smooth. Separate the broccoli and cauliflower into small florets or chop if desired. Add them along with the bacon, onion, pecans and grapes to the salad dressing and combine well. Refrigerate until serving time.

Low fat version: to reduce the fat in this salad omit or reduce the bacon, replace the 1 cup mayo with 1/2 cup low fat mayonnaise and 1/2 cup low fat yogurt or yogurt cheese. The bacon and onion dip adds a nice smoky bacon flavor.

Note: Broccoli is thought to lower the risk of stomach cancer and contains beta-carotene, and other antioxidants. With large amounts of calcium and potassium, it also helps to prevent osteoporosis and lowers high blood pressure. Cauliflower is high in folate, which aids cell growth and replication. Both these vegetables also provides a decent supply of fiber, which may prevent cancer.

Ham And Pineapple Baked Beans

This ham and pineapple baked beans is super quick and easy to make.
