Part of what makes Christmas magical is the traditions you share with your family. Our family looks forward to having roast turkey with stuffing and all the fixings for dinner. We always pull Christmas crackers, wear the paper crowns and laugh at the surprise gifts inside. Another tradition that started when I was a child, we each open one gift on Christmas eve. It's always hard for children to wait to open all those presents under the tree so I guess my parents figured it wouldn't hurt if I opened just one.

I look forward to reading about your Christmas traditions, ideas, tips and giving you a copy of Creating A Magical Old Fashioned Family Christmas! so don't forget to leave a comment. I hope you have a happy, magical and safe holiday season.

Our favorite tradition is getting our daughter the yearly Christmas Bear from Wal Mart. She's now 22, but still loves them!

We started a new tradition this year, we went to Disney World in December and plan to make it an annual event. It's so beautiful with all the Christmas decorations and special holiday activities and it's one of the least busy times to go if you go in early December. It really gets you in the mood for Christmas!

Ever since I was little we would decorate the tree on the day after thanksgiving. We would listen to christmas music while we were doing it and me and my sisters would dance around to the music. I still do this now with my family only we have added a little tradition of our own. When we are done decorating we throw on some comfy pajamas, make some hot chocolate, and watch one of our favorite Christmas Movies.
